Can I upgrade my Mac operating system? Right so I want to upgrade to a new operating system as my boyfriend's Mac is running very slowly. We currently have OS 10.3.9 installed and a 1.8 GHz PowerPC G5 processor. I tried the Apple website but apparently we need an intel processor to install the latest version of the operating system. Is my computer doomed? Do I need a new one now?
