The 'Test Transmit IR Code button` is disable. Any idea ?

Is there any other way to send some pronto codes with USB-UIRT ? What I am doing is to open the lrnhelper.exe, to paste the code in to the IR code (pronto format) field and hit the 'Test transmit IR code' button (when available). Is there a way to import the pronto codes somehow ?
There is another button (Inject Ir codes above) that is never available. How can this be used ?
