Hello,
Any thoughts on comatability with the Microsoft Remote Keyboard for Windows XP Media Center Edition 1.0? Previously I saw comments regarding a Viewsonic but that was some time ago. The only tech detail on-line seems to be "36 KHz Infrared RC6 and MCIR". They don't talk about repeat rates. Any guesses if this might work with UIRTs?

Hmmm.. it would have to be tried, I suppose. Keyboards generally do not work well (independent of the IR protocol being used) because keyboards *do not* send out an IR code based on a key being pressed like a remote does. Instead, a keyboard sends out scan matrix codes on down, up, (and sometimes other) events.
