SA3250HD issues

I had an SA 4200HD box up until recently and it worked fine for a LONG time. Now I have a 3250HD (just moved) and leading zero's get dropped, I get double channel changes when I use channel up (using SageTV) and in general channel changing is just flaky.

Does anyone have a working .IR file for the 3250? I am also having learning issues (can't get the USBUIRT to blink at all regardless of distance.)

Ok - got my IR file cooking (took some fancy learning positions)

I am having an issue only when changing channels via the remote now where the cable box never gets the first digit.

If I change via keyboard or Sage changes the channel on its own - it works fine - so its only when the transmit and receive are clsoe together that it misses the first digit.

OK - i taped an emitter on the front with black electrical tape and verified that the cable box could see no other signal source.

then i tested.

sage can change channels 100% with USBUIRT transmitting only
I can change channels with the keyboard 100% with USBUIRT transmitting only

with a remote - using the USBUIRT to receive and THEN transmit does not work at all - it goes flaky and enters seemingly random numbers.

anyone have ANY ideas?
