Beginning of New Show, Channel Changes?

Postby devnet » Mon Aug 15, 2005 11:52 pm

Hi...

Got the USBUIRT up and running after some rough roads...and my channels change now on the cable box which makes viewing those above 100 nice :)

However, I'm having trouble with it changing channels without me telling it to do so. Say that I'm watching NBC news and it ends in 30 minutes and is followed by some other TV show. After the news is done, the channel tries to change to the same channel it is already on.

This causes problems such as not entering all the digits in (which it does quite a bit)...for instance, if I was watching channel 144, it would change to channel 14. Now, mind you, this does so WITHOUT a remote telling it to do so. I use SageTV 2.2 and the old Hauppage 350 remote.

Has anyone run across a solution for this problem? Help is appreciated!

As far as avoiding having Sage send out channels again, this is a Sage issue and you'll probably want to ask Sage. As far as it missing digits from time to time, this should be fixed and probably requires adjusting the timing between digits being sent or by possibly increasing the digit duration.

I'll definately check with the sageTV people on the first part as well...thanks very much :)

I don't have Sage in front of me, but Sage has an IR settings screen where you should be able to edit these time settings.
