system reboots if usbuirt unplugged while girder running

Postby rcdash » Sat Jan 24, 2004 11:22 pm

Just FYI to test for next driver release.

If the USBUIRT is unplugged, Girder does not automatically recognize this and still states "plugin loaded and sending events". I plugged the USBUIRT back into another port and Girder did not receive ir. So I tried to disable the plugin and whammo - system reboot (A7N8X MB + Athlon XP 2600+ based system running WinXP Pro).

Fortunately, I don't unplug it often. Would be nice if girder+URBUIRT handled unplug/replug better - it is usb after all.

thx,
raj

Raj,

Good point,

I'll see what I can do about it,

I'm having what might be a similar problem.

With certain commands (in particular one that is turning on my projector) the PC literally shuts down in the middle of it!

Its 95% repeatable, and does not occur if I switch back to my IRman.

Any ideas?

Can you provide me with:

1) What app you're running
2) Version of Plugin, API (c:\windows\system32\drivers\uuirtdrv.dll)
3) The IR Code you're transmitting

Thanks,

Jon
