Extension for USBUIRT - Help!

I need to place the USBUIRT device approx 7 feet away from where it is now.

So I need a 7 feet extension. I bought the USBUIRT last year;
My question is: do I need an extension for USB 2.0 or 1.1?

A 1.1 extender should be enough, but your results may vary as many of these extenders do not have their own power supply which could cause low-power problems.
