Constantly On

My emitter seems to be constantly on (the little red diode thingy)...I have tried it on a couple different computers with the same results.
I have also tried reloading the firmware, and removing/reinstalling the drivers, nothing seems to work.
I've also tried beating it with a hammer...just kidding...any ideas?
