Hmmm,

Sounds like some sort of hardware conflict! Does the USB-UIRT otherwise function?

I just purchased a USB-UIRT from you and have a gyration mouse and keyboard. The mouse locks up right away when running XLobby, if the UIRT is plugged in. And if XLobby is shutdown the mouse is real slow and jerky. I have unplugged the UIRT and the mouse now works fine. Any ideas..

thanks

Let's eliminate software...

So if you simply plug in the USB-UIRT (don't run XLobby) does the Gyration have problems?

Also what OS, and what model Gyration Mouse/Keybord?

Are there any other USB ports you can try?

Thanks,

Jon

Yes I still have problems without Xlobby running. The mouse is very slow and unresponsive (jerky). I am running winxp all sp'kd. I have the mouse in the 2.0 usb ports, and the usb in the 1.1 or whatever ports (I have 2 of both). Same thing on either or if both items are hooked into the same type.. I am on a Asus A7N8X-X mobo.

Thanks
Mike

Could you try something for me?

Could you download this .zip file: http://www.usbuirt.com/USBUIRT%20Drivers%20v1_2.zip

and copy the FTD2XX.sys overtop the one in your Windows\System32\drivers folder and also copy the FTD2XX.dll file overtop the one in your Windows\System32 folder.

Then reboot and see if this makes any difference...

P.S. Does the USB-UIRT otherwise function (to rule out a non-functional unit)?

P.P.S - Oh, what model Gyration Mouse/Keyb are you using?

Ok I dloaded those files and installed them. They overwrote files of the same date and exact same size..

Anyway, it started to kinda work.. I was able to use Girder and program and play, but when I reboot the machine it seems to lose the usb uirt, So I unplug and plug it back in, and the computer sees it but girder doesn't. It says it's installed but not in memory. And Xlobby wont see it at all. So I reinstall the drivers and it starts working in girder but not in Xlobby, and the mouse starts getting a little chuncky/jerkey..

Xlobby says (unable to initialize USB_UIRT; unknown error)

Thanks
Mike

Sorry! I just reread my post and see that I gave you *current* driver link! Please try these drivers: http://www.usbuirt.com/USBUIRT%20Drivers%20v1_3.zip and overwrite the same files as stated before.
