2 USB UIRT's

Postby MiGster » Sat May 29, 2004 11:35 am

Jon,

Can I connect another one of your units to a second USB socket (have two USB-URIT's) and have girder transmit the same signals through both at the same time. The reason is I already have one (double ended) IR emitter plugged into the USB-URIT's socket and I need one more emitter.

Thanks

No, not without some extra effort and programming. Your best (and much less expensive) bet is to wire a second dual emitter set to the unit.

The USB-UIRT actually has a *stereto* 1/8" jack, even though the dual emitter you plug in today is a mono plug. This was designed in for a purpose -- to allow two full emitter sets to be connected.

You can do this either by:
1. Buying a stereo plug and hand-wiring it to both dual emitters (one channel to each emitter set), or

2. Buy the following channel splitter: http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?c ... id=274-375
