jrhees,

I've searched and read through every post with the word descrete in it and can't find the answer...so here's the question. If I have a descrete Pronto SONY TV code to switch the TV to Video 6 how do I properly import that Pronto descrete code so my usb-uirt/girder can use them? I do not own a Pronto but there must be way to import it...right?? A cut and paste to Code1 doesn't seem to do it.

Here is the code from the Remotecentral site:
0000 0067 0000 000d 0060 0019 0030 0018 0018 0019 0018 0018 0030 0018 0018 0019 0018 0019 0030 0018 0030 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 0018 040b

Sorry for your trouble! First of all, the word is spelled 'discrete' :)

Anyway, its simple -- use the 'Learn' dialog as if you were going to learn a button as usual. *In* the learn dialog there is an 'Import' button. Press that button, paste in your disrete pronto code and you're all set!

Ok jr' got one more tiny problem. Don't know if you or someone else can help. Importing the Pronto DISCRETE :D codes works fine except for "Video 7". All the other Video inputs I imported worked perfect except for 7. Here is what the UIRT converted it to:

018E1D300C0C000C1804504510000000000000000000000000 Video7

Here is what Video 6 looks like:
01F617300C0C00180C14055500000000000000000000000000 Video6

Can you give me any tips as to why this (Video7) isn't working? My only theory would be the Raw Pronto code for Vid7 is incorrect??

Sorry, but I won't be of any help here. I would also conclude that the Video7 Pronto code simply isn't right (at least for your equipment).

Jon,
The Import button is not enabled in the HomeSeer plugin. Is that by design? If so, can discrete codes only go in thru the registry or the helper app you mention?

Pat,

That is correct. Your best bet is the LrnHelper app.
