Hi,

I'm using USB-UIRT which works fine with my Gilder.
The only problem is that I have a Sony remote controller which has a "SYSTEM STANDBY" button. It can give out very special infra code because it can't learn even by the Philips Pronto Pro.
No problem. The USB-UIRT will learn the code, I thought.
It did but when I test the code nothing happens.
All I'd like to do is to switch off my SONY STR-DE225 receiver.

Any idea?

This button (on Sony Products) typically cannot be learned because it is actually a whole *group* of codes sent in succession.

What I would suggest is going to www.remotecentral.com and go to their Discrete Codes section and find the discrete 'OFF' code for Sony equipment.
