USB issues

Hi,
I searched around a bit, and didn't see anything posted about my issue. I apoligize in advance if something like it has been posted already. Basically the problem Im having is when the uirt is plugged in, every once in a while the computer drops then gets the connection back. you know the sound windows XP makes when a usb connection is lost then established? it does that randomly. i am using the uirt with sage tv, and unfortunately it crashes the program whenever the device disconnects and reconnects. ive reinstalled the drivers a couple of time, i just got the update so maybe that will help. this is more or less a fresh install of windows, so there shouldn't be much junk built up. i am using a lot of devices on the usb channels, i dunno if that is a problem. let me know if anyone can help. thanks.
