Ubuntu Hardy Issues

I'm running Ubuntu Hardy and am having some troubles. I'm not sure if it's a problem with my setup or a problem with USB-UIRT.
I'm running lircd like so
I'm using irrecord like so with my TV's IR remote. I record UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT/ENTER/EXIT.
When I use irw, however, I only see one thing no matter what button I press:
I have another IR remote which is not working with irrecord at all; I'm starting to think the USB-UIRT is defective.
Can anyone help?[/code]
