I would like to connect the electrical output of the USB-UIRT up to the Xantech 796-20 Zone Expander. I have two questions:
1) Is the tip positive or negative? I am assuming this is DC
2) Should I purchase a stereo plug even though I will only be using one output? Will the open help the USB-UIRT?
Thank you.

I was able to find the answer on a previous thread.
Thank you anyway.

I wired up a 1/8" stereo mini to the Xantech Zone Expander and the system works like a charm. Homeseer is now able to send IR signals throughout my house. Now I have to load Homeseer like I loaded my Pronto and then debug.
Thanks Jon.

I do not know how to post a link. If you do a search in this bulletin board for Author = heartsurgeon, you will find the thread. I think his post subject was IR Blaster... In the thread is discussed how the output on the 1/8" mini needs to be wired. From this I was able to infer how to connect this to my Zone Expander. If you have a Zone Expander and have questions, write me at timhurley1 at yahoo and I will go home and tell you what I did.
