USB-UIRT Forum

I see that the uirt has a jack in the back for this. In my eyes this will only work well in my system if I house it in my computer and have a remote transmitter wired somewhere behind me and aimed at my equipment.

Is there a particular transmitter that will work for this?

Plug-in emitters are not usually designed for 'blasting'.

The IR emitters built inside the USB-UIRT are very strong and in many cases will control your equipment even if the USb-UIRT is pointed in the other direction -- by bouncing off walls, furniture, etc.
