Hi:

I'm thinking of purchasing USB-UIRT but have a few questions. I have
Windows ME and use an Aver Media TV card. I want to use my PC to
control the Scientific Atlanta 3200 cable box, but I do not have the
snap stream software nor do I have any software programming
knowledge. What software would I use to change channels on the box?
Also, will I be able to use special remote functions such as 'GUIDE'
or 'DISPLAY'?

look into Girder. www.girder.nl i think.

It's the "Glue" between the remote via USB-UIRT and any app you choose.

forgot to mention that you can use it to do any action based on any button, so yes, guide/display/any other button you have on your remote can be coded to do what you want.

no real serious programming knowledge needed. pretty simple stuff.
