Learning Remotes in HS with USB UIRT and HS plugin no go!

HELP!

I have installed the USB UIRT and it went off without a hitch. I installed the HS plugin and it worked fine too.

When I go into the IR Config in HS, select a device and click the L beside the button I want to learn, it takes me to a new screen where it tells me to point the remote 6 inches from the USB UIRT and press and hold the button I want to learn. I do that and nothing happens (at all).

It does not seem to be learning anything I point at it. I am pointing at the front of the USB UIRT. This is correct, right?

I must be doing something stupid. I just got the USB UIRT today and I hope it is not defective as it cost me too much in customs fees.

Please help!!!!!

I had to put the remote about 2 inches away for it to pick it up.

It works now. My DUMB!
