USB UIRT and NTL help

Postby m0rt » Fri Apr 15, 2005 8:17 pm

Hi all.....
Just received my USB-UIRT today and got down to trying it out tonight.
Installed the drivers fine but when I come to learning my remote codes...... nothing.
The little LED blinks when I press a button on the remote but no response in Girder or
any other program I've used.

I've tried 4 other remotes and they all work fine just not the one for my NTL STB.
After scanning thru the forums the words IRda and no support keep jumping out at me.
I'm getting worried (the wife will kill me!!) that I've spent $50 on something that's not compatible
with my STB.

Any advice would be great

Thanks
m0rt

Hi
Maybe this little device might be a solution for your irda issue...

Hi Frank

I'm guessing you could be right. The Wife won't be happy...... another £32!

Thanks very much for the quick reply

If anyone has any other...... cheaper(!) ideas they'd be very welcome!!

Hi Frank

What model of NTL STB box have you got?

I've just upgraded by old NTL Pace di4000N which worked fine with a Red-eye remote
(did not use standard RC5) and SageTV
-This is available for sale!

I have now got a Samsung 2100C and USB-UIRT is fine. (once I solve one minor issue)
