Xantech 284m with Usb Uirt

I just got a xantech 284m which I have read works with the usbuirt. Problem is, when I plug it in the IR reciever on the uirt stops working.

Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to have these blasters and use the IR input on the uirt.. i dont care about the blasting ability of the uirt.

This is not normal. There should be no reason the IR receiver on the USB-UIRT should be affected by something plugged into the USB-UIRT's emitter jack.

You may want to restart your computer / unplug and replug the USB-UIRT in case you static-zapped it.
