learning problems (Sky Italia)

I applied the patch supplied in the forums to get lirc 0.7.1pre3 working. I can use irrecord to get the info on my DirecTiVo remote and it works perfectly.

However, when I try to use irrecord (with or without -f) to learn my Sky Italia remote (necessary for changing the channel on the satellite receiver) irw never recognizes the buttons when I use the generated config file.

Any ideas?

I cannot comment on the contents of your Lirc file (not familiar with it), but it is possible the Sky Italia box may use IrDA protocols which cannot be seen by the USB-UIRT.
