Trouble with sending discreet code imported as Pronto Hex

Postby Guest » Mon Jan 09, 2006 7:44 am

Hi.

I have a setup using a pocketpc, netremote, and girder to control my home theater. I recently swithed over to Girder 4 and replaced my Tira-2 with USB-UIRT since Tira-2 doesn't work well with the new Girder.

I have everything working under my new USB-UIRT except discreet codes to turn my Panasonic SA-HE100 AV Receiver on and off. I had this working on my Tira-2, but I am having trouble getting the USB-UIRT to accept a code. I found the code for my receiver on the page http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/co ... eet_codes/ I believe the code I need to use is the Power-off-1 and Power-on-1 codes on this page. This is one of the codes I am trying to import:

Code: Select all
0000 0070 0000 0032 0000 003F 0000 0010 0000 0030 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0030 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0030 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0030 0000 0030 0000 0030 0000 0030 0000 0030 0000 0030 0000 0010 0000 0010 0000 0030 0000 0030 0000 0030 0000 0030 0000 0030 0000 0030 0000 0010 0000 0030 0000 0E13

If I try copy and pasting this code into a USB-UIRT action, the "Test Transmit" button immediately gets greyed out and I can not send the IR code. Is there anything I need to do to get this code to work? I was under the impression that Pronto Hex codes would be able to be read by the USB-UIRT plugin?

There is something wrong with that code -- according to the Pronto spec, a code should never have zeros (0000) for any of the timing values, yet that code has many....?
