If I can find a PPC, is PDAWin available or must it be purchased?

If I get hold of a Pronto, what's your level of confidence the Pronto code you posted would work (i.e., do you have a Pronto to try it out with?)

Thanks,

Jon

You ask tough questions, my friend. I have no idea if the code will work with a Pronto, I haven't got one. But PDAWin can be used for some time (can't remember how long) for testing purposes before buying a licence. Or you could borrow my licence. It's s simple number and letter combination.

I may be resurrecting an old thread here and you've already got it working, but just so you know, there is a product available to get round this problem for some of the Pace settop boxes used by Telewest in the UK. It's called Redeye, you stick right over the IR receiver on the Pace box, and it then translates RC6 codes from your learning remote into the strange non-standard IRDA-type codes needed. Maybe this would work with your box too...? Or maybe the redremote guys could make a version that works with your box if they knew the right IRDA codes for it?

Thanks, but that won't work on my Force. And besides it turned out that it isn't IRDA after all, it's regular CIR, but with a special frequency and avery particular receiver.

Mastiff,

I recently found an issue with the firmware which I believe was affecting the ability to learn your Force codes. When you see this, email me at uirtsupport@earthlink.net
