learning stopped working

I think my hardware broke. I need to learn some new codes, but my usb-uirt isn't responding to anything while in learn mode. I first tried my code on Linux, then I tried trydrv 5 under Windows XP with the latest driver and DLL. No response at all, though it receives UIR codes fine.

On Linux, it does respond to signals in the old raw mode (0x23), but nothing in the new raw mode. Also, the LED doesn't blink.

Is there anything else I can try, or is my hardware broke?

Please recall that while learning, a different (short-range) IR sensor is used -- you will need to position the remote a few inches from the USB-UIRT while learning.
